Mayor Pat Lepore
Pat Lepore has served as mayor of West Paterson for eight years and has resided in the borough for over 37 years. Mayor Lepore was re-elected to a third term in November 2005. Pat is a full-time elected official who was elected in 2004 and re-elected in 2007 to the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders. He retired in 2005 from George Weston Bakeries Entenmann’s Division and is a member of IBT Local 802, Long Island City, New York.
Mayor Lepore has championed causes important to West Paterson’s working families. Most recently he has aggressively pursued the acquisition of the New Jersey American Water Companies water system in order to reduce the water prices for many borough residents.
Pat has worked hard to bring sewer lines to residents who currently rely on septic systems. He is dedicated to maintaining open space through the hundreds of thousands of dollars West Paterson has acquired grant money. Pat is also devoted to keeping West Paterson the safest community in the area.
Our Mayor is committed to funding a community center that will serve all our residents. He and the Borough Council used an architectural firm to develop plans for the community center. In addition the Mayor and Council hired a top grants consultant to obtain funds to offset the building costs for the center.
Pat is a member of the West Paterson Municipal Alliance, the Alfred H. Baumann Library Board, the Planning Board and is a past member of the West Paterson Boys and Girls Club. He and his wife, Linda, have one son, Robert who recently returned from Iraq, completing his tour with the United States Marine Corps.
